What is Stream?
Stream Media is a platform for creativity showcasing some of the best creative work from around the world. Our streams are dedicated to different kinds of culture, and as well as bringing you high quality content from renowned artists, we also want YOU to contribute your own material. Remember you can upload endless footage: audio, visual, and written work – and the great thing is that every time your work is viewed, you earn 50% of the advertising revenues.
Do I have to pay to view streams?
It’s completely free to register with urStreams. The great thing about is that you can support creativity simply as the contributors receive 50% of advertising revenue whenever their work is viewed.
What is a Stream?
A stream is like a channel, where there can be a selection of videos, music, images, games, links articles and much more. These streams are run by a team of editors and usually based around a certain subject. Streams are dedicated to a variety of niches, bringing you the best high quality intelligent content, for everyone who is seeking an alternative to mainstream culture.
How do I create a Stream?
To create your own stream simply click the ‘create’ tab on the top bar and follow the instructions. Your stream can be on anything you want, and whenever it is viewed you gain 10% of the advertising revenue.
How do I contribute work?
Uploading content onto urStreams is easy, simply click the ‘upload’ tab at the bar at the top of the page and follow the instructions. You can upload music, video, written work, games, links and much more. You can submit work to any stream that has already been set up and the best work will be shown.
How do I become an editor on an existing stream?
If you’ve found a stream which you’re interested in then alex@urstreams.com in order to apply.
What does being an editor involve?
As an editor you can select the best work out there to show on the stream. You can speak to writers, photographers, video artists or musicians in order to get the right content for your channel. Editors can also attend events and approach content providers in order to get more material for Stream. As well as making links in the industry, you will also earn a share of the 10% revenue which goes to the editors of the stream. Editors also make playlists for the streams, in order to provide viewers with the best variety of content.
How do I receive revenue?
Provided your content generates £50 pounds or more from advertising you will receive a check addressed to you or your company. Cheques are payable quarterly. This means that each time your content is viewed, it makes you money.
Why do videos need to be in h264 format? How do I encode my videos into this format?

How can I become an advertiser on urStreams?
If you are interested in becoming an advertiser with urstreams then contact our team by emailing becci.cooper@urstreams.com. We will then be able to discuss the besd advertising options for your company.
Can I remove content once it has been uploaded?
Yes. You can remove content by deleting it from your account, or by notifying stream who can remove it within 30 days of your notice. You can remove content any time.
Do I retain copyright of my content once it has been uploaded?
All content is owned by you. Uploading to stream only grants us a licence to use it on the stream network.
